Please try again later.I think depending on your Best buy card elite status, you may have 14 days or up to a month and a half not sure, Depends on what it says on your receipt.... The geek squad protection just means that they will go thru the process of trying to help you fix it, or replace it if they can't in the alloted time period the geek squad protection plan offers.... That's my understanding but I'll double check by calling them to make sure.

My experience with this router is I received a non-functioning unit AND had purchased the protection plan but I could only return it when I brought it to the store. Luckily, I did this the same day I received it as I don't know what my options would have been if it had been a few weeks after I received it. It's a roll of the dice I guess....
