• The extender is router dependent. It gets the ip address from the DHCP router. It only works if the router gives an ip address and recognizes the extender.

• That is totally dependant on how the AP you want to connect to is configured. For example, if they are using a Ruckus device, they are specifically configured to not allow any repeater to work. My personal guess would be no, but anything is possible!
