This is the unit for you! Its the latest model that Comcast is installing in homes. When shopping for modem / router be sure it is also for telephone, most are not. This unit IS for internet, cable and telephone!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It should work, because the only connectivity differences should be between a CABLE MODEM and a DSL MODEM. So this could do the same job as your current rental unit. That's what I did since the beginning to avoid paying monthly fees from Time Warner. Performance-wise, this should even be better to handle higher speeds versus the one from the cable company. And if you're still iffy, I would simply take a photo of the back of the current modem you have and compare it to the back of this.
