• Both are DOCSIS 3.1 The CM 1050V has two phone/ voice ports. The CM 1000 is Cable only

• The CM1150v has telephone jacks and is needed for Xfinity customers with a triple play package. If you have cable and internet (or only internet) then you can use the CM1000.
