Yes, you can connect up to 2 phone lines to this modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can use two different phone lines - each with a separate number - with this modem; this is as advertised by NETGEAR. If you have only a single line coming in, you may hook two different phones into the modem and use both as if they were one system, e.g., they will both ring with an incoming call, you can talk to an outside party with either or both; In other words, the set of phones act like extensions on the same system. This capability is a function of the firmware COMCAST stuffs in it when you first install - this stuffing is called provisioning the modem. Whether the ability for two phones is a feature or a mistake is a COMCAST secret; they, not NETGEAR, are responsible for that firmware. Note a couple of issues if you hook two phone (system)s to the modem when you are paying for only one line: 1) if you put two systems that both have auto phone answering, they will sometimes step om each other and 2) simultaneous dialing out just wont work.
