If you are asking to pick up a WIFI signal with this device to amplify it in your room when you travel then the answer is n. This unit has to be part of the original network and be configured into it. You would need access to the original router to do this.

It works best with a strong signal which it then rebroadcast but at half the bandwidth of the original. You need some method to bring in a stronger signal. Look for a system that will amplify the weak signal with a gain antenna.
