• Yes, I'm using it to extend a 2.4GHz signal now. It will also extend a 5Ghz signal. To make it perform better, I'm using it to receive a 2.4GHz signal and rebroadcast it as a 5GHz. The performance is great and there is no interference using this method.

• My router has two bands, so I don't know. But this extender is phenomenal. Both bands are extremely strong.
