• If you are going to install this IN the garage and you can get wifi there now I would say yes. If you are going to install it in the house and hope to get signal in te garage I'm not so sure.

• No. I tried to get the signal to my workshop. 30 feet is too far and the metal will likely block any signal. Try a mesh system. It worked for my nephew who had a similar situation.
