- Answer If you mean that you can set a vpn with the modem, I’m not so sure usually you may set services from specific companies that provide you your virtual private network, like hamachi from logmein or unlimited vpn from keepsolid inc And yes all flow through a vpn is encrypted

- Answer Probably not, Expect the modem will still work, but it not access 5G capabilities. Not happy with the Firewall, pretty weak IMHO.

- Answer Yes we haven't leased a modem in a few years. we just got this one . the one we had before this one, same brand which by the way is a great one. This new modem covers an area up to 2000 sq feet . Make sure you ask how much area your modem covers. It is a necessary question.we really like it. No issues
