QuestionI have a Google mesh Wifi system I currently use with my Arris SBG6700 modem. Can I use the Netgear Router/Modem with the mesh system? Is it necessary to continue using the mesh system or will this router take it's place and I only need to use this?

- Answer The mesh works as a wifi extender. The NETGEAR C7000 AC1900 modem/router has a nice WiFi system built in. Unless you have a multiple level very large home, the mesh system may not be necessary.

QuestionI bought the Nighthawk AC1900 router today. I am connecting to the devices in my home. I have a standard network and a 5G network that show up as available networks on my computers and phones. Which one should I connect to - what are pros/cons?

- Answer I always connect to the 5G network for faster speeds. Any new devices that are able to use the 5G network should be connected to it for the best performance/speeds. I only use the standard connection for older devices, eg. Wi-Fi home security cameras that are unable to connect to 5G networks.
