A:AnswerI believe it is compatible as they both use the same protocols but I have a 3 story home and the Netgear C7000 connects all my TV’s and smart phones with excellent coverage.
A:AnswerI'm not sure what the xfinity gigabyte plan is but I have Xfinity tv and internet and it works better than theirs did, in my opinion. Wifi seems faster. Hope this helps
A:AnswerSpeak with your service provider for technical support or just buy one, install and surf - if you get results, post it on your community page for others? if not, post that too - good luck
A:AnswerWell this modem does not have a port for dsl line. It has a cable jack and 4 ethernet ports out. There is a USB port but it is used for attaching an external hard drive to put movies and music on as an in home media server. TL:DR no it won't work with dsl.
A:AnswerYou can do it yourself. Connect the coaxial cable (from the wall provided by your ISP) to the NETGEAR modem/router. Wait for the modem/router to come online. Call your ISP and give them the MAC address that's on the sticker so they can activate internet service. To connect to a network using a wired connection, use an Ethernet
cable to connect a computer to an Ethernet port on the modem router. To connect with WiFi, use the WiFi network name and password on the modem router label. Later you can change them (a must for security).
A:AnswerThis router has one coax lead in. Everything out is either wireless or ethernet cable. You'd have to split your coax before it gets to the router and connect to your TV that way.
A:AnswerNo. This is a "cablemodem/router", and is for cable internet. The input is coax. FiOS is fiber, and the wire to plug in to your router is (at least at my house) a standard ethernet cable that you plug into the "WAN Input" port on a standard router. Look for a router that does not say "cablemodem". Netgear makes several.
A:AnswerSure. Cox is "cable" and not fiber (unless they offer that now and you have it). If your internet comes in via coax cable (round cable, usually white, with a pin sticking out a round hole on the end).
Hopefully you have 2 such ports. You would plug one coax from the wall into the coax input of this router. You can then set up wifi and use the wired ethernet ports.
You'll need another coax port to plug into your TV or DVR or whatever to get TV. You don't use this box to watch TV, just get the internet.
Always better to buy your own cablemodem/router than use the nonsense cable companies give you! :)
