You could experience some issues with connectivity and finding devices. It all depends on what type of switch you use also. Should be modem router then switch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My setup is modem, cujo firewall, IQrouter to switch with the NetGear Nighthawk plugged into the switch. Running Nighthawk as a AP since I have a mixed environment, wired/wireless and want everything on one subnet. I don't notice a difference in speed between a iMac wired or when in wireless mode. My plan is for 90Mbps down and the best I have ever seen with any wireless router/ap is around 80 Mbps and I have seen that with the Nighthawk. I just have other issues with the Nighthawk Mesh system. I did run it as a stand alone router, just had two different subnet and I didn't want to miss with trying to setup to put everything on one subnet so I setup as an AP.
