Based on the information on the page, it can do either. You can use it entirely via wifi, or configure it to use ethernet between the router and satellite if you have the wiring.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The main router must be hardwired from the ISP. I have FiOS and their installation has an ethernet cable only with no modem. You may need to run a Cat 6 cable from your modem from your ISP. I recommend also purchasing a compatible modem so you can avoid the rental fees. The satellites do not need to be wired as long as their in range of the router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The router is the only part that needs to be hardwired into the modem (DSL, Fiber, Cable) . Note, you will still need a source of power at each location that you want to install a satellite, and that satellite MUST be within the existing wifi radius, in order to relay and extend the wifi signal, accordingly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The satellites are not hardwired to the router and connect wirelessly. They can be placed anywhere in your independent of the router location.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The satellite can connect wirelessly to the router. No need to hardwire it.
