Hooking other routers up to this router would allow faster Through a cable since it can handle it. It would also allow you have stronger WiFi throughout the house if all the router have WiFi signal capability. This is what I am using mine for. It is allowing me to use WiFi from this router upstairs in my house and a separate WiFi signal for a basement and 1st floor of my house. Hope this helps.
