Have not used these other routers. But I can say with confidence that this router has the best performance and coverage of any router that I have had before including the AC 3200. Our house is 3400 square feet and spread out. This router reaches every corner with mo difficulty. We have at least 20 devices connected to it concurrently including various streaming devices and heavily used laptops, desktops and smart phone. No lags or performance issues so far.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know how it compares to other routers, but the performance has been excellent. Greatly improved internet speed and response. Support was good and after trying to enter setup info manually, I found that setup is almost completrly automatic.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mesh systems seem to be the way to go, definitely stay away from extenders. I returned this router NOT because of performance but because of range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Generally, any router to repeater/bridge combo (what everyone is now coining as 'Mesh') is going to offer more coverage than a single device. However, that said, it really depends on the area you're looking to cover... the larger an area, the more you're going to want to consider a 'mesh' network. So, if you're in a gigantic home, you'll likely find the Orbi, or another mesh configuration, to work better than a single device. Also, be aware, you don't necessarily have to have a system that's designed like the orbi, to extend coverage. Generally, any 'wireless media extender' or something phrased like that, will operate in a wireless repeater (or bridge) fashion... In fact, I'd be EXTREMELY shocked if Netgear doesn't come out with an 802.11ax 'extender' that does just that ;)
