A:AnswerYes. The cellphone settings must be set to use wifi and under phone in settings it must be set to use wifi calling. As long as you are in the range of the net gear hotspot you can send and receive calls, texts and use internet once you connect your phone with the password. We bought a house in a dead zone for all cellphones but att service. We couldn’t change cell providers but we did have to get an att account for the hotspot. It is worth it. You can take it in your car or to the lake for instant access if you want. I recommend it.
A:AnswerThe SIM card with T-Mobile or any service compatible would have to be active with data service for it to work. Whatever your data limit if you have any with T-Mobile would then apply example 10GB data per month and so forth. I use it with mint mobile it really helps when I drive in rural areas for a signal.
A:AnswerYes here in the UK I use my EE unlimited sim from my phone when on my boat.
So the M1 uses the data side. I leave a message on my phone saying call me on whats app!
A:AnswerIt will if you already have an AT&T device. I switched to this device and it worked fine for abut 2 years until AT&T discovered I had switched to this device. It is not an AT&T approved device. I am now canceling my my account with AT&T. IF I can quit being transferred in a circle!! AT&T sucks!
A:AnswerYou will probably get the same speed, but at times when everyone is using your cell tower, your Netgear will switch to a band not used by cell phones to keep you at that speed.
