Hi. I have a NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK X6S AC3000 TRI-BAND W. I connected the device to my router using a ethernet cable. My network runs at 100 mbps. The connection was easy. Just read the directions.

I am on a Massillon Cable network, however I THINK it this Extender would all rely on your primary Router. You are probably aware that your source comes in through the modem to the router (they may be one). Because you are having difficulty with that router "extending" throughout the house/building, you buy an extender. My understanding (which is limited) is the "mesh" extender does just that, it "meshes" with your primary router and they become one when you are looking to connect. So when I hooked up my Netgear Tri-band Mesh Extender up, it didn't bounce, nor did I have to select between the primary router and the Mesh Extender. My primary router was named (hypothetically) Dad1 and when the Mesh Extender became connected it was part of Dad1 so my connections from upstairs and downstairs now seamlessly connect the same and my son can play his X--Box or PS4 Games downstairs with no pausing in the games and the connection downstairs (which was pausing or stopping the games are working fine. However everything is connected to Dad1 and the Mesh Extender just blends in to Dad1 and you don't have to change your connection when going upstairs to downstairs (as an example). As to your specific question will the "Verizon network" bounce you out? Honestly you'll just have to buy it and try. I don't think so, because although it is using Verizon as it source of "power", the router is what it is meshing to. To be house, I would be as if not more concerned about my router than my source of "power' such as Verizon. Just my thoughts.
