Yes you should be able to use your hotspot as a router and this switch will send the signal to all the wired devices.

But a hotspot is usually designed to be mobile and don't usually have Ethernet ports on them. If it is the netgear one that AT&T sells, then it should work fine.

Please try again later.As long as that port is meant to be used as a gateway connection, it should theoretically work -- that's exactly what a network switch like the S8000 is for. The only other comment I'd make is just that the S8000 might just be overkill, if you're connecting through some kind of mobile hotspot. It's more of a high-end switch that's meant to help keep gaming consoles and PCs connected to the internet at the highest possible speeds. Unless your hotspot somehow delivers the same kind of connection speeds as a cable modem (I routinely get 175mb/sec+ on mine), you'd probably do just as well with a cheaper switch.
