Hi Moss, It will work with Comcast and the benefit it is more based on the devices you have. Take in consideration that most of the Comcast routers come with 2.4 g connection, this one will enable 5g (even greater but I doubt you have anything compatible). Which allows higher bandwidth. Here the main constraint would be 1) your internet speed 2) how old your devices are. However, in my case and many other owners have been reporting this: wifi will start dropping very often for few seconds. Now streaming wouldn't care (since udp is used), but anything over tcp would present some connectivity issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The speed of your Internet provider will not change. What will get more efficient is the Wi-Fi with in your home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You're only going to get an Internet connection as fast as Comcast offers -- and as fast as you are paying them for. The main advantage of a modem such as this is the speed of connection between your own various devices, and perhaps also the availability of multiple bands so that your devices don't all "hog" the same band.
