“so as a home with many devices on my network. Gaming, streaming, nest cams, and multiple iPhones, pads etc. Now have kids and need to set rules and such in the router, how does this router work for managing a family? Parental Controls and opinions pls”

i think yes it will work but ask the store helper about this but to myself that have no kids at all
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is the perfect router. Easily handles multiple devices (we have 15 at a time on it) and you can use parent controls very easy on it - all from your phone! Easiest I have ever had!!! Handles the highest speed without any problems!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In addition to the features in any router I would recommend using an OpenDNS DNS server for your DNS.. It provides filtering for the 'bad' stuff too.

What I did not like is: in order to by pass your parental control settings for some users, you must have "NETGEAR Genie" installed. The way it works is: you setup what to block (Categories) and you can also setup time blocks. Sadly, you cannot add specific URLs, IP Ranges or anything like that. If you need something more "in-depth" control, this might not be the right option for you, BUT! for sure as a router is great.
