“Hi, was wondering why I need this product in the first place? I have an updated roku, and looking at plex service, Just learning how to do this. Seems complicated and saying i need to invest in a large directional antenna also, sheesh. small home,mtns.”

If you have a small home, this router may be overkill, but the good part is it will support many clients connected to it. So if you have 20 or more devices connected either wired or wirelessly, this will do fine and is ready for any future advancements in speed and capability

Kids on their phones, tv's on WiFi, and computers without breaking a sweat at the same time. My home is 2800 sq feet and thhis thing doesn't even struggle. You definitely want this. This router covers everything and will always keep you. Covered whatever new technology comes out cause it supports everything

Please try again later.No you don’t need additional antennas It comes with 4 powerful amplifying pre attached antennas with nice Blue lights that can be turned off too This is a good router and come with built in Plex media server and you can attaché NAS or USB drives under 4 gigs for usb.

Main reason is for ppl with high wireless traffic, if you are currently happy with your hardware... Chances are: you will find little to no improvement. High tech toys are not for everyone.
