Q: QuestionI have Verizon internet with Comcast cable. I need a router better than the one given from Verizon to stream (Fire Stick) without interference. My current has to have a telephone line plugged in to connect to the internet Is this compatible?

- A:Answer I doesn't work at all. It gets broadcast timeouts which will interrupt any ISP. Go with the Arris instead, it is rock solid.

Q: QuestionIs this modem/router compatible with Spectrum Internet? They do not have it listed yet but possibly because it is too new. Is there a big difference between DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1? Thanks

- A:Answer As of 10/18/2018, Spectrum has not listed the Netgear AC3200 X4S C7800 modem/router on any of its lists of recommended modems. And considering it lists its top tier service at 400 Mbps, the C7800 is overkill and Spectrum may well deny registering the modem on its network. Call Spectrum to be on the safe side! As for the world of difference between DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1, I refer you to a Cisco blog page that may tell you more than you bargained for at https://blogs.cisco.com/sp/the-benefits-of-docsis-3-1.
