If that modem is a wireless router, then you will have to disable it and then connect to this product. If it doesn't you just run cable from port 1 into this product
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same exact set up and am sure you have the same issue I had. I did not have a strong signal on the far end of my home. I purchased the Nighthawk and am beyond impressed. I now have signal throughout my entire home and even for several feet off of my property. Be sure to turn WiFi off on your Arris modem in the settings and set up the Nighthawk with the same exact network name and password, your devices will automatically connect to the Nighthawk without an issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This would take place of your att wireless signal. I would call att and have them stop the WiFi signal from their modem. Then connect modem to this router via network cable. Will be a way better connection. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have Spectrum internet and phone. It is an Arris, combination modem. I just plugged the ethernet cable into the modem and the router. Followed intsructions from there. Your internet provider should also be able to walk you through it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the modem is open than yes it will work. As far as extending the signal it depends on ur house configuration and if wifi signals bounce of the walls with insulation or other devices that might interfere with wifi signal. Router does have a great range. I live in the private house on 3rd floor and I get my wifi outside on the street. Otherwise u might want to look into wifi extender wich is different than a router but could be programmed as extender if you know how to.
