• I bought this and I also have three canary security cameras, wemo plugs, two cell phones on wifi, two laptops, and direct TV all hooked up to the wifi. There are three separate wifi bands available and I have the above items split amongst them so it does work great! It solved my problem of having slow wifi with all the items that were linked to the old one band of wifi. I hope this helps you.

• I don't own a Simplisafe 3 alarm, my guess is it would be compatible. The router is a 3 band router which includes a 2.4 ghz and two 5 ghz bands.
