This is just a wireless router. You will also need a rented modem or purchase your own compatible modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Can tell you this. I have Suddenlink and got a 3.0 modem from them. I was getting 11Mbps from my old router. Bought this one. And it went up to 47 Mbps. My Isp only supplies 50 so huge increase. I have 3 IPhone 6. iPad mini. Smart tv. Ps4 and Xbox 360 and Laptop 8 devices total and have no issues at all with this router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just purchase a provider recommended non wireless router and hoove it up to the nighthawk. I have TWC and have a Motorola cable modem connected to this with no problem. With almost the same equipment setup you have. Also if you move providers or one piece fails or want to upgrade again later you don't have to change it all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would have to purchase a modem also. They sell modems with built in wireless routers. There is even one with wireless a/c built in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Are you referring to a cable modem? If so, then you might be able to get away with the Motorola surfboard modem/router combo. Just make sure that Motorola surfboard modems are compatible with your cable provider. The router that you have, the X6, is the best and fastest out there. My router would constantly drop signals so, I have to get rid of it. The wife is tired of the connections going up and down. I am not sure the Motorola Surfboard modem/router combo will handle all that traffic. Depending on what is being played/watched at the same time might cause the connection to be really slow. The other option would be to keep the X6 and buy a modem. That would be my suggestion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will always need a modem with these routers. They only "route" traffic. Unless specifically stated , thats the norm. Asus , linksys , netgear and even airport extreme. All just routers. only your cable company will have a modem/router combo that will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll need the modem plus the router. It's best to have those two separate anyways.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is just a wireless router. You still need a modem to bring the internet "into your home". If you are tired of renting a modem, I recommend buying a Motorolla modem with DOCSIS 3.0. They are about $60.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you will still have to have a modem. this is just a wireless router (we have a netgear modem also which is alot better than the phone company modem in my opinion)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need a modem. This router is an excellent choice. Lots of options for good modems so you can return the rented one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
