A:AnswerIt is only one SSID with both 2.4 and 5ghz and it seamlessly switches between the two depending on how far or close you are from a satellite.
The satellites connect to each other and slightly degrades the signal. I notice that satellites closer to the router are more often on 5ghz, opposed to the satellite I have in the basement that shows a 2.4ghz connection.

A:AnswerIt should work with that modem, but I don’t know if it’ll fix your issues. I would contact your service provider about the slow speeds and disconnects.
A:AnswerI am sure it would work for a while but keep in mind it is not designed for outdoor use so high humidity and or high or low temperatures will probably shorten the lifespan of satellite used like that.
A:AnswerIs your problem with AT&T internet with your wifi coverage in your home or is it your internet in general from you modem? If it is your AT&T service it can't help you with that but if you are just having wireless coverage issues through out your home it can't definitely help with that. If you have poor connection even from a hard lined ethernet connection you might have to have them come check you line running to your home. I personally always buy my own modem because ISPs tend to give you cheaper/old equipment and charge you a rental fee for it to.
A:AnswerI bought the 4 unit set that included one router and 3 satellites and that was enough to cover a home over 3000 sq ft. So I think that would the way to go.
