This mesh system comes with three units...the main "router" and 2 satellites. I would put the main unit on your main floor and then a satellite on each of the two remaining levels of the house. As long as they are not TOO far apart or have lots of thick walls between them, you should be good to go. I have two levels and put the main unit on my main level in the living room, one satellite in the lower level, and the other satellite in the back bedroom (master) on the same floor as the main unit. That was the part of the house that had trouble getting a strong signal before. All good now.
