The NetGear Orbi RBR40 Router and RBS20 Satellites do not have Power over Ethernet (PoE) so the satellites would have to be plugged in to a power outlet. NetGear does make a satellite that supports PoE (https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/SRC60/SRC60_QSG_EN.pdf) but it would have to be purchased separately.
