- Answer I don’t think your internet service provider should matter. This router has excellent range throughout a house and walls are not an issue. I can even pick up wifi 50 feet outside my home.

Questiondoes this unit use WPA3 I have 3200 sf home, 1 1/2 story. With one unit downstairs and another upstairs both in middle of house, should this provide good coverage assuming ordinary interior walls

- Answer Yes you can use the URL provided by NetGear to manage your ORBI using the admin login and password. This is the only way to mange the more sophisticated functions and security features of the ORBI system.

QuestionI have AT&T 1000mbps but live in a 2 story and my room is upstairs will this orbi ac3000 help with my gaming experience? I lag a lot and I’m trying to find a mesh wifi that will help with that

- Answer I would assume so. I have a two story home and I get really strong signals to the upstairs areas. I pay for 300mbs internet and usually get at least 200mbs from the second story.

QuestionI already own an Orbi RBK50. Can the router on this pack be connected as an extender of the original? basically adding two extenders to my existing Orbi router

- Answer I don’t believe they would play nice together because the new router itself will want to be set up as a new network. However, if you get just the RBS50 aka AC3000 satellite, it is compatible with that system as it is a satellite only and not a router.

QuestionHow many ethernet "OUT" ports does the router have? I need two. Does this work with CenturyLink quantum fiber? They will install something called an ONT. quantum fiber requires Vlan tagging, will the Orbi automatically do this?

QuestionMy new Maytag washer and dryer won't connect unless they're on a 2.4 ghz connection but my new Spectrum router won't let me choose anymore like the old one did. Will this one let me switch to 2.4 so I can connect my Maytag units?

- Answer I tried over and over and was never able to connect it with the router provided by Spectrum. I ended up buying a Netgear router that allows me to choose between 2 ghz and 5 ghz. The washer and dryer connected perfectly after that. I’ve seen many other people with this issue, most of them with the same Spectrum router I had.

QuestionIt is approximately 500 feet between my home and my garage. My complete system including Wi-Fi is located at home and I would like to place a Wi-Fi security camera in the garage. Will the orbi system be able to communicate wit a Wi-Fi signals 500 ft away?

- Answer Unfortunately that is just too far for a satellite to even remotely try and cover. It’s only rated for 2,500ft sq. and that’s not directional, just a big circle. You’re better off renting a trencher and burying a Ethernet cable, or find a camera that uses a cell signal. Neither is ideal, but this will not work for the problem at hand.

QuestionMy question concerns using my printer with the Orbi. I tried a different router that had dual bands and could never connect to my printer wirelessly so I had to return it. Will I have the same problem, with my wireless Canon printer?

- Answer Yes but special configuration is required. You need to bridge to Orbi. Basically disabling mobile 5G as a router.

QuestionAfter I plugged the main unit to my internet cable, do I have to connect or do something to the additional 2 units to my devices or just plug them in the wall. my home is 2000 FT square and still have a problem with Wi-fi not covering all my home.

QuestionCan one of the units be placed outdoors for extension like in an HOA common area? Main one set up inside and the other set up outdoors in pool area? Can it withstand the elements?

- Answer I would not place the satellite unit outdoors. It is meant for indoor use only. There is a separate satellite unit that IS rated for outdoor use

- Answer They only have Ethernet ports, no regular phone ports. The router does not provide any modem functions.
