Possibly. I'm an engineer, worked on and developed communication technology like this. This product exceeds all of my expectations. Basically, these units impose a high frequency signal on your AC power cables to carry your data. These AC power cables and everything connected to them were never designed to carry high frequency signals, but if your wiring is healthy, not daisy chained and looped all over your house and you dont have lots of devices plugged in that disturb or impede the high frequency, it will work very well. Since I wired my house, shop and outdoor power panel very carefully, I had high Hopes. So, through 2 power panels and 3 breakers and over 150 ft of cable, these things linked up at top speed and carry 4K UHD video flawlessly! Now I had to test the worst case: 3 power panels, 5 breakers and over 450 ft of cable. I got the same flawless result!! I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised!! Tom

Can you turn off the other building power from an electric panel in the local building? If so ... then this will work to extend ethernet. Then you could put a WAP (wireless access point) to create WiFi in that remote building.

Also, these extenders work over the electrical wiring within a building, but not between two buildings. You should look at point to point wireless to extend networks wirelessly between two buildings.
