“I have a smart tv in my kitchen. When I use my microwave oven the microwave interferes with the tv and the tv loses signal. Will the NETGEAR Powerline 1000 solve that problem or will the microwave also interfere with the Powerline 1000.”

Absolutley, since your not using WIFI. The power line adapter is designed to allow you to provide a LAN connection wherever there is an power outlet. Now if you still need to go WIFI I would consider changing, if possible, the WIFI signal to the 5Ghz, if available. The Microwave is also using the 2.4 WIFI and it blows the complete 2.4 spectrum away.Best to you.
