You need to plug your modem into one of them and your console would get plugged into the 2nd one in whichever room you have it in. There are 2 short ethernet cables included, but you will probably want at least one longer one. Your console would have to be pretty near the outlet for the included cord to work. Also note, it does say to NOT plug these into surge suppressors or extension cords. It must plug directly into the outlet.
