These devices simply connect to each other through the electrical lines in order to create a new connection on the network. It doesn't matter what you plug in to them as long as they are working the connection is bridged. Just make sure for ip cameras you get the one that operates at 1 gig. It could make a difference. I have used these for bridging the gap between access points and computers back to a network. Ip cameras would be no different.
