I had the same issue with the ring doorbell although not through an adobe wall. I was using it through a straight vinyl siding wall. The issue seems to be more on the ring doorbell side as the wireless Receiver and transmitter’s are not very strong. The extender that’s running the ring doorbell on everything else gives really strong signal.
