The amount of increase would depend, I think, on two factors. First, what is your current upload speed? Second, what is the condition of your home electrical wiring system (up-to-date systems will conduct the signal most effectively)? Of course, this product cannot increase your speed beyond the maximum specifications of your home internet service. My circumstance was that the wifi strength indicator showed "weak" throughout most of the house. With the powerline adapter installed, an online speed measuring app (there are several free ones out there) shows a very strong, steady signal - I just measured 48 Mbps download, 12 upload. We have been able to have video meetings smoothly and clearly, and stream workout videos without interruption. These were both changes and improvements. Good luck!
