• I states in the instructions not to. Not completely sure why they say this but I wasn't about to take any chances

• Technically it will work, but not recommended.This product is designed to go directly in Wall Outlet not Surge Protector.

• It says right in the direction s NOT to use it in a surge protector.

• No, it is not recommended for the Powerline adapter to be plugged into a surge protector. It may interfere with the communication and interfere with data transfer.
