These do not use wifi. they extend a CAT5e connection between devices. You connect (hardwire with cat 5e cable) one of these to your internet router and the second unit to whichever device you need to have internet (this device must have a cat 5e input).

You shouldn't need a password, because you will choose the ethernet link option. You will want to go into the menu and skip the wireless option and select the wired option. (You are connecting this to your device with an ethernet cable.)

You will not need to enter a password. This uses ethernet not WiFi.
