- Answer One adapter that plugs in near router. One adapter for the room that needs boosted signal. Additional units can be added that can piggyback from primary adapter

Questiondo you have to unplug after use or will it power down on its own?If it is plugged into a secure network will you have to do something to maintain the security once you connect the Netgear 500?

- Answer Yes this would be compatible, but I think you would not get the 1200 mbps speed reputed this has (I doubt anyone will). Max speed should be 500 mbps for all your units (Nano and 1200 mbps).
