• Depends if it is a Smart TV, it would give you access to the network without turning on the cable box. Then, streaming hulu or nettflix or some other streaming service is direct

• Yes you can. It depends on your network setup but you should plug one end of this directly to the device and the other to your router or switch.

• It's output is ethernet, so plug it into the ethernet port on your smart TV.
