You should have setup information in the box the equipment came in. There is also setup information on the NETGEAR web site. It is quite simple requiring an ethernet connection from the router to the power line access point plugged into a 110-120 volt receptacle and the adapter plugged into a receptacle in another part of the house. The adapter can be either for one line of ethernet cable or a splitter that will handle four lines.

Should of been in the box, otherwise just plug in the one end into your router or modem and an outlet, then plug the other unit into an outlet and your computer without internet, press the button on the right side of the one where the modem is the press the button on the other unit within two minutes and it should work.

Connect one of the included network cables to the powerline unit and to an open port on your router, switch, or access point. Then plug in the other unit by your pc or notebook into an ac outlet. Push the button on the powerline unit by your computer. That's it. You're connected. Takes like 5 minutes or less. Hope this helps.
