“Does the receiver & adapter need to be on the same circuit breaker. I am trying to plug in a wired desktop computer AND get a better wifi signal in my bedroom upstairs but the router is downstairs on a different circuit breaker. Does this matter?”

It doesn’t matter if receiver and adapter has to be on same circuit breaker, really doesn’t matter because it works no matter how you plug in anywhere but still making connections wirelessly itself into “ hard wired “ . Really amazing technology but sometimes it gets little weak for few seconds once a while. Then come back on stronger again. My guess is depend on how many people use internet all over the town or city.
