We have installed a WIFI thermostat for this customer. Customer does not have a router, but since they are in a rural area, they use a Verizon mobile hot spot device. I just want to make sure this range extender will link with the Gateway and thermostat.”

• Honeywell's detail info about this thermostat should tel you that. I have Ecobee & theirs does.

• It should work as long as the hotspot is broadcasting a wifi signal, this range extender should be able to connect to it. The hotspot is functioning as a router as you're explaining it and the range extender won't know the difference.
