Check the settings and possibly default reset. I know there are options on recording audio or not but every cam is different. It could also be a weak signal when transfering the data if being done wordlessly.

You can enable and disable the Audio by the following steps > Settings > Video Settings > Audio. If the touch screen isn't recognising touch, this could be an SD card issue. Please remove the SD card from the camera and then press the Reset button on the underside of the camera. If the camera functions without the SD card, a new card may be required.
