Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.that assembly has two different sizes and types of wires. the power cord contains both positive and negative wires, whereas the camera feed cable has an inner and an outer wiring setup. there is no need to identify the cable gauge, since it is intended for a specific usage. if you need to run a longer cord setup, I suggest getting ahold of nightowl customer service for their assistance. I will usually wish you good luck in dealing with them, as you will need it. I had a nightowl system that was working fine until I installed the required firmware update. after that it did not work at all. after over a month of back and forth with nightowl cust service, they finally agreed that it was a warranty thing. DUH!!! they refused to send me out a new dvr in replacement until I had sent , at my expense, the old one to them. I ended up taking the whole dang thing back to Costco, which involved me having to take all the cameras, wiring, etc down from where I had had it installed. I went to sams club and bought a Samsung system which is working just fine. it uses the same cables as the nightowl system. I was able to also get the nightowl camera to work with the Samsung unit with no issues. good luck with your install, and the best thing I can offer to you is to do your own thinking. this is your best tool with which to install your system. you just may need it, lol
