• Thank you for the questions and happy to help as you evaluate systems. You have the option to run continuous recording or just event based recording. You can control this via the system settings. Also, you can save events as long as you'd like to but we advise using a USB flash drive to export important events for safe keeping separately on another drive. The record time is dependent on a number of settings you will have control over. Each can impact the duration of recording. With a 2TB drive you should be able to continuously record multiple days without issue, but specific duration is not easily determined. Thanks, Night Owl SP Digital Support Team
