Our Night Owl WNVR will allow you to record without an internet connection. An internet connection will be required if you would like to view your WNVR remotely from your smart device. This system comes with a pre-installed 1TB HDD which will allow you to record all recordings to it, you won't require a micro SD. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.

DO NOT BUY if you're looking for something to install in remote locations. Also the resolution is nothing to write home about. The box said no internet needed so we were fooled. It's ok if you have internet and a cell phone and need hard drive recording. We were hoping on an upgrade over my home brew cameras but not so much.
