QuestionCamera system is good ...the satellite they use sucks...I've had my camera system up and running for months. Pulling up the video or camera viewing on my new Moto cell phone if i do get to view my cameras on my phone it's for 2 to 4 second. At a time .

QuestionDo the wireless cameras need a router or internet to communicate with the DVR? Also if the DVR is placed in a steel Connex trailer will the wireless signals work? It says you can watch with a computer monitor can you watch on a laptop without a router?

- Answer The Night Owl wireless cameras do not require a router to connect to the WNVR, the WNVR will creates its own wireless signal to connect with the cameras. You may connect the WNVR to a monitor/tv in order to view the live feed from the cameras. If you would like to view the feed from your computer, you will require a wired internet connection and our Night Owl Software, on your computer, in order to view the cameras. QuestionI don’t want the cameras to record while we’re home in the house, but don’t want to have to remember to turn recording on and off every time we leave and return. Does the software/app have a geofencing capability?

- Answer Geofencing not included but it should be. You can probably get ITTT to do it but it won’t be easy. It worked with my Wyze cameras. I think geofencing should be available on ALL security devices.

- Answer This is a wireless "Video" system which requires corded power and not battery powered. The video is streamed to the local video recorder which has VGA/HDMI video outlets to a display and saves video (continuous / or motion clips) to local 1TB hard drive.

Once you complete the initial set up and install the cameras, you will be able to view the cameras from your smart device or computer via the Night Owl application/software. QuestionMy Internet sometimes goes out very briefly. Once the Internet is restored to the cable modem, the night owl dvr system does not reconnect and fails to record additional footage unless its restarted. Product claims no Internet required? Is there a FIX?

- Answer Yes, the Night Owl cameras will still work. You will still have the ability of recording and viewing your system. Within the initial setup we request an email for account recovery for when accessing your DVR. We would suggest at least changing the email within the DVR for recovery.
