“Can the system be set to always "on" for continuous viewing? So if you want to check the view from the monitor at any time is their a way to turn-on all the cameras? I understand they are motion sensored.”

Hi Prof. With the DVR connected to a TV or monitor via HDMI, you will be able to live view all of your cameras 24/7. Additionally, you have live view options via our FREE CMS on a PC or Mac and via our FREE App on a smart device. By default, the system is set to motion record. If you would like to switch this to 24/7 record, you can do that. However, it will quickly fill up your HDD and recordings will likely only be stored for a few days before they are overwritten to make way for new recordings. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

They are motion sensor for recording "events" (movements) but you can view them live anytime. I have the DVR connected to my HDTV though HDMI but also monitor on my desktop though my LAN.
