As long as u have the DVR, it's straight forward to hook it to ur pc... If no DVR, u may need a coaxal to HDMI converter to run to ur PC. As far as temps go, min is allegedly -14°F and max seems to vary.... I live where 115°F is frequent and I have yet to have a problem.... The lowest I've personally experienced is 29°F with no problems at all... Hope this helps... CaseyGadgets
