The Night Owl Doorbell will work as a standalone camera. You will have the ability to check the live view of the Doorbell from your smartphone via our Night Owl Connect application. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The answers NightOwl & "others" (probably NightOwl employees) is misleading, if not outright wrong! The doorbell camera ONLY works as a "stand alone" through the app. When you find, as I did, less than a month later that the doorbell craps out, your app stops working but doesn't tell you that your Night Owl doorbell camera has taken the big dirt nap. This is an absolute waste of money, unless you think almost $100 for a 32GB micro SD card is a fair price. RUN AWAY FROM THIS!! Buy a RING brand or anything else!
